Omarosa Manigault-Newman left her White House post last year and has been in the news ever since, recently landing another realty show gig with Celebrity Big Brother.
Years ago, Newman got her television feet wet on NBC series The Apprentice, and later, Celebrity Apprentice. While participating on the latter, co-star and journalist Piers Morgan claims the controversial diva offered herself up to him with the intentions of turning their “showmance” into a money-making opportunity.
“Omarosa sidled up to me at the New York Mercantile Exchange and said, quite seriously: ‘Piers, do you want a showmance?’ ‘A what?’ I replied. ‘A showmance. You know, a romance on the show — we get it on together. Happens all the time on Apprentice. Everyone has sex together,” she told Morgan, according to his column for The Daily Mail. “’Then we can make lots of money out of it.’”
Morgan claims to have responded, “’You must be joking, you deluded woman.’”
After rejecting her advances, Morgan claims the former White House aide turned on him “like a viper,” and began to ask if he was gay while using homophobic slurs. Morgan recalls the preacher’s wife telling him, “’Shut the f*ck up, asshole. How are your kids going to feel when they wake up and discover their dad’s a f*cking fa**ot?”
“I can honestly say I’ve never been spoken to in my life like the disgusting, foul-mouthed, homophobic way Omarosa spat at me throughout the weeks of filming. Because I’d rejected her revolting sex plot, she decided the best line of attack was to repeatedly question my sexuality in the most crude and offensive manner imaginable.”
Morgan also shared his disgust over discovering his co-star landed herself a spot in the oval office, saying her appointment was, “just as big of a scandal as Rob Porter, yet nobody seems to care.”
Newman has yet to respond to the accusations.
