Questlove will soon be lending his one-of-a-kind music background to New York University as a professor. The Roots drummer will be teaching a class titled, "Classic Albums" along with Universal Music's Harry Weinger at the Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music, a department within NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. According to reports, the goal of the class will be to study albums that have stood the test of time, and to break down music, lyrics, production, business aspects, and more.

Some of the albums reported to be explored in the class include by Sly & The Family Stone ('Stand!, There's A Riot Goin' On'), Aretha Franklin ('Lady Soul'), Led Zeppelin ('IV), Prince ('Dirty Mind'), Michael Jackson ('Off The Wall'), and the Beastie Boys ('Paul's Boutique'.). Questlove currently serves as the drummer in Jimmy Fallon's house band, where he can be found nightly  jamming with The Roots.
