Since 2005, Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons went from cannon-voiced emcee of legendary rap trio Run DMC to popular reality TV dad thanks to his hit MTV show “Run’s House,” chronicling his life with wife Justine and their children.

The show’s success led to additional programs, such as HGTV’s “Rev Run Renovations” and Cooking Network’s “Rev Run’s Sunday Suppers.” This week he launched his latest project, “Rev Runs the World,” which follows the rapper-turned-minister and wife with their son, son Russy, 19, and daughter Miley ,7, as they embark on international adventures in 16 cities, including Kingston, Istanbul and Rio de Janeiro.

The series follows Justine and the kids coaxing the reluctant Rev to explore the fascinating traditions and landmarks of each country rather than just relaxing poolside at the hotels.  Run and Justine spoke with EBONY about the show, partaking in new cultures and the importance of involving family in all things.
