Chrisette Michele – “Rich Hipster” Ft. Wale
Chrisette Michele sings about jetting off to Paris and Amsterdam in her latest song, “Rich Hipster,” from her forthcoming Audrey Hepburn Project mixtape. The jazzy singer tapped Wale to help her pay homage to female hipster style staples like beanies and red lipstick. She even shouts out Williamsburg, Brooklyn (hipster capital of America). Wale’s brief verse is also an ode to hipster ladies; he describes them as high-end thrift shoppers who can often be found in cafés around the ’Burg. The coolest thing about the tune is, while Chrisette Michele sings about material things on the surface, the real message is that what makes people truly rich is what’s in our hearts. The Audrey Hepburn Project will be available for free download on December 8, the day before Chrisette Michele turns 30.

Kendrick Lamar ft. Lady Gaga – “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe”
Both Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga fans were disappointed about a few tracks that didn’t make it on to Lamar’s critically acclaimed debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city. However, someone had a change of heart and released the demo version of “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe” (which is on the album sans Gaga). The song opens with Gaga singing, “I am a sinner who’s probably gonna sin again/Lord forgive me/Lord forgive me, things I don’t understand/Sometimes I need to be alone/B*tch, don’t kill my vibe.” She also sings on the hook throughout. Little monsters, rejoice now.

Rihanna – “Diamonds”
Last week Rihanna released a clip for “Diamonds,” the first single from Unapologetic, out today. The melancholy melody tells the tale of a love affair about beautiful people shining “like diamonds in the sky.” The Unapologetic drops on November 19.

Nitty Scott – “Planes Trains and Automobiles”
Like any dope MC, Nitty Scott is in popular demand. What comes with the popular life for an artist is a lot of travel, hence “Planes Trains and Automobiles.” Hopefully, you’re no stranger to Nitty Scotty or the song, as we covered the EP that it’s part of. But as a follow-up to the song, Nitty Scott released an accompanying video (directed by Luke Wilson and Alexander Akande) that features the Brooklyn native traveling around the world. In other words, it shows the unglamorous side of the jet-lag life.

Azealia Banks – “Atlantis”
Azealia Banks teamed up with French graffiti artist Fafi to producer her latest video for “Atlantis,” which can be found on Fantasea. Fafi has been making a name for herself as a graf artist for several years, and she’s popular for her “Fafi” girls—a signature style she created that features cutesy, colorful women. Fafi (a hipster darling) has teamed with brands like MAC Cosmetics, Adidas and more, so it’s fitting that she would direct an Azealia Banks video. Visually, the video gives us Lisa Frank, Bollywood, Eureka’s Castle and what it’s, um, probably like to be high (shouts to Colorado!).
