MSNBC's Tamron Hall may be the newest addition to "The Today Show," according to insiders. Apparently, Ann Curry's sudden departure as co-host to Matt Lauer, and Savannah Guthrie's promotion to replace Curry has made a spot in the show's 9am slot available. Hall, who began her on-air career as a local Fox anchor in Chicago, has been on "The Today Show" as a substitute anchor before and serves as the host of MSNBC's afternoon show "NewsNation."

The news industry is known for being cut throat, but still many were shocked when Curry received the boot from "The Today Show," including Curry herself. If Hall were to receive the position on "The Today Show," she would co-host the early time slot with Al Roker.
