Former Today show co-host and MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall will be stepping out on her own next year, as the Temple University alum’s long discussed talk show is set to debut in 2018.

Hall has partnered with Harvey Weinstein Television for a show that would feature a mix of current events, human-interest stories and in-depth celebrity and news maker interviews, according to The New York Post

The 46-year-old will also serve as executive producer alongside former NBC Domestic Television Distribution president, Barry Wallach.

While no network is attached to the series as of yet, the talking head is moving forward with enthusiasm, sharing this statement on social media.

“My birthday is in two days, and Harvey gave me a birthday gift very early — discussions about this show, a big vision and big ideas. I’ve been on TV for 25 years, since I was 18. Now, as I’m approaching 47, this is where I want to be and where I need to be. I’m just in the happiest place that I’ve ever been.”

Harvey Weinstein is also excited about the collaboration

“I’ve been working towards developing a talk show for a long time, but needed to make sure I did it the right way and with the right person to take the lead. Tamron is far and away that person. She’s an exceptionally talented journalist whose interviews masterfully walk the line between entertainment and hard hitting. We couldn’t be more thrilled to begin this new venture with her.”

Hall left Today after three years as a morning anchor, a move said to have been triggered by the addition of Megyn Kelly.
