Terry Crews has decided to take legal action against the Hollywood agent he accused of sexually assaulting him last year, filing a lawsuit against Adam Venit for allegedly grabbing his genitals at an industry event.

The Brooklyn-Nine-Nine star first came forward with the troubling accusations in a lengthy Twitter rant, inspired by the many women and men who have also called out their A-list abusers, such as Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and others.

Crews was initially met with speculation, and he was even encouraged by Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons to forgive Venit and help him be reinstated at the William Morris Endeavor (WME) agency after his suspension. He has since returned to work.

Gabrielle Union, Isaiah Washington and more have since lent Crews their support.

The athlete-turned-actor contends he’s experienced psychological distress following the incident and is concerned Venit’s standing in Hollywood could impact his acting career, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. Documents also indicate that Crews told Big Daddy actor Adam Sandler about the incident that night.
