Stacey Dash Capes Up, Rihanna Claps Back

Stacey Dash, Rihanna and 2 Chainz

As Paula Deen tries to wipe the tracks of her tears in light of her empire crumbling before he deep-fried eyes, Stacey Dash has offered her hanky. The actress – who went out of her way last year to rep Mitt Romney – took to Twitter to send the axed Food Network host the following: “God does everything for a reason @Paula_Deen Only God can judge your heart BTW my daughter loves your show (only way she can get me to cook)”

I believe God calls that reaping what you sow, but whatever, ma’am. [Stacey Dash]

During her appearance on Access Hollywood, Ciara was asked about the n-word with respect to Chef Antebellum (or Paula Deen, if you will) and she said: "As an entertainer you have fun and it's all about the context it's used in. I am an African-American woman, so I can identify with that word in different ways. I know where I'm coming from... If we have fun with it and you can understand where it's coming from, then you can probably receive it in that way. I have the power to speak in a light-hearted way about it... (but) I cannot hear another person of another race saying, 'You this and you that.’ It's all about how you say it... You know when you're using it one way." [Access Hollywood]

For those of you curious about the meaning behind the name North West, grandmother Kris Jenner recently explained how Kim Kardashian and Kanye West came to pick that name. Apparently, the name signifies the two reaching the highest point in their lives. The couple also reportedly told friends,  “What’s North of North? Nothing.” So she’s their North Star, y’all. I mean, this explanation is better than, “We thought it’d be funny.” [So Furious]

Daily Mail columnist and apparent troll Liz Jones recently wrote that Rihanna is a “toxic role model for her army of young fans.” She also slammed Rihanna for her sexual image, relationship with Chris Brown and drug usage. Rihanna responded in a way that only makes me love her more.

She wrote: “If you sincerely wanna help little girls more than their own parents do, here's a toxic tip: don't be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter! What's all this about hair and nails and costumes and tattoos??... That sh*t ain't clever!!! That sh*t ain't journalism! That's a sad sloppy menopausal mess!!!" [Toyaz World]

Will Smith won’t be starring in the sequel to Independence Day, due for release in 2015, because his services costs too damn much. Director Roland Emmerich confirmed this, explaining, "Will Smith can not come back because he's too expensive, but he'd also be too much of a marquee name, It would be too much.” Speaking of too much, do we really need an Independence Day 2? [Shadow + Act]

Wale isn’t afraid to show a little emotion in his music. In fact, he encourages it. In a recent interview, the D.C. rapper said: “Emotion is a taboo in hip hop. I don’t know when that started. But I just feel like we are supposed to be poets and we cant sing and do all that – emotions is suppose to come through our words. So when you take that emotion away, you’ve got a bunch of sh*t that’s monotone and you’re not really feeling nothing. […] I feel like emotion is good in hip-hop. [They'll say being emotional] is like being a woman or whatever. That’s how it is. […] I’ve come to grips with the fact that I’m kind of an emotional person. That’s what makes me make songs like ‘Lotus Flower Bomb’ or a lot of things people fell in love with on my mixtape.” [Necole Bitchie]

Do you think Django Unchained was a nice way of educating people about African American history? Kerry Washington seems to think so, telling Maxim Australia: “We don’t deal openly with the reality of what was done. Partly because it’s so uncomfortable. It’s so horrific. It would take a director like Tarantino, who’s not afraid of that level of violence, to even tell the story. It was that bad. We tend to think, “No, that’s just sci-fi fantasy shit.” We all should have seen this coming, though. When you kill off Hitler in a movie, your next project is going to be this.” Nah, but alrighty then. [Miss Jia]

The man who robbed 2 Chainz posted his driver’s license and bankcard on Instagram – another sign that criminals are getting dumber by the app. In response, the rapper said on Twitter: “How u glorifying a n*gga. Who took a wallet, im from the streets , that ain't robbing that's ‘pick pocketing.’ Cards get canceled and license cost 5 dollars , been shot
