saying, ‘You should be better than that. You’re an example.’ Well, this is the new queendom. Follow this.” [Gawker]

In 'if there’s a hell below, you’re going right to the bottom of it' news, Davienna Mariena Blake, DJ Quik’s daughter, has been charged with the murder of her 2-year-old son. The 21-year-old along with her boyfriend, Darnell Moses Alverez, 24, were arrested by Phoenix police after they were found standing over the body of the child outside of their apartment. The child was said to have suffered multiple injuries -- including a lacerated liver, bruising and internal bleeding cause by beatings from a belt. Witnesses claim that Alverez beat the child for wetting the bed. [All Hip Hop]

If Kanye West hates the Kardashians so much, why is he including members of the fold in his new music video? Rumor has it that “Kanye spent the weekend shooting an American Psycho-inspired video in Brooklyn with Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban,” aka Kourtney Kardashian’s partner and that guy always around Kim Kardashian.” The source adds, “Kanye wants the video to go viral and drum up more publicity for his album,” which might explain why Jonathan is said to die in the clip. Okay, I know what you’re thinking and I hope it’s not true either. [Rap Fix]

In other Kanye West news, he explained his album title at its listening session the other day, announcing, “I wanna explain something about the title Yeezus, simply put West was my slave name and Yeezus is my god name.” Serving college freshman realness. [Miss Info]

New Orleans bounce artist Big Freedia has a reality show coming to Fuse in the fall. In, Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce, the show will follow Freedia and fellow bounce artists including Katey Red, Sissy Nobby, and Mr. Ghetto (the Wally-Wally-Wally-Wally World guy) as “they live and work in New Orleans and beyond.” It’s as close to my idea of Love & Hip Hop: New Orleans as I’m going to get. I’ll have a po’boy on Sept. 18. [Crunk + Disorderly]

2 Chainz isn’t having the best week. He was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco – which he tried to deny on Twitter but was rebuffed by SFPD. Then he got arrested for felony narcotics possession at LAX. For his sake, I hope he lived up to his new single, “Feds Watching,” and looked fly as hell. Also, remember this man is an honor student and college graduate. [Love B. Scott]
