Tyrese Gibson and ex-wife Norma have been at war for months, all stemming from abuse accusations leveled at the Transformers star back in September.

These allegations led to a temporary restraining order being placed on the “Sweet Lady” singer, banning him from seeing Norma and daughter Shayla. Gibson has since been granted access to his baby girl, but continues to call out his former spouse for ruining his reputation, recently sharing on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show that he married Norma only to make sure she could live in the U.S.

“We had an angel. But I married you to keep you in the country. I never married you because we were happily married. You’re from London. I married you because we had a baby on the way and I had to do whatever I had to do so I’m not traveling all the way to London just to spend quality time with my baby,” Gibson revealed. “So now you’re running around painting this picture, like we was [sings ‘Here Comes The Bride’], we got married and there was like 7 people there.”

The actor says fans should’ve known the marriage wasn’t legit because his flamboyant personality lends itself to a huge ceremony, which he did have with second wife, Samantha.

“Like, I am the most flashiest, flamboyant dude, other than Floyd Mayweather, there’s nothing that’s low key and quiet. You know that I married her to keep her in the country.”
