After his Coachella set, Vince Staples sat down with Nadeska Alexis for an interview that quickly went left. At the beginning of the conversation, Staples calls out the topics featured on the teleprompter. From there the pair spoke about his issues with asthma, his GoFundMe and the Long Beach rapper purchasing a Tesla.

The 24-year-old quickly derailed the interview when speaking about how he will drive his car once he is off probation. When Alexis urged him to be careful and stay out of prison, Staples responded by saying Black entertainers don’t go to jail. He quickly used R. Kelly and his sexual misconduct allegations as a point. “You don’t go to prison if you’re a Black entertainer,” he quipped.

“Think about it, R. Kelly never went to jail and he’s a f***ing child molester,” Staples asserted. “He pees on people and he can’t read and write and he didn’t go to jail. I’m a good person and R. Kelly is a piece of f***ing s***,” he continued to explain. Vince was referring to the reputation Kelly has amassed throughout the years since the release of his alleged sex tape that featured an underage girl. Despite not being a convicted sex offender,  allegations still continue to pile up against the singer-songwriter who is accused of having a sex cult and giving an underage woman an incurable STD.
