Vybz Kartel is over being called out for lightening his skin, taking to Instagram to address women who dye their hair and wear weaves, calling them hypocrites with no room to judge.

While Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, is currently serving 35 years-to-life in prison for the 2011 murder of associate Clive “Lizard” Williams, he’s miraculously managed to maintain his status as “King of the Dancehall,” dropping new music from behind bars almost weekly.

He apparently also still has access to his social media accounts, where he spoke of Black women changing their looks to appear more Caucasian, saying, “99.99% of Black Women (1) cream [lighten] their hair or (2) wear “caucasian” wigs.”

He went on, “They Braid their hair, put GLUE on it and cover it with a wig made from the WHITE WOMEN HAIR!!!. Then they flash it as if it their own while taking selfies or pretty pics at parties. Question; ARE YOU BRAZILIAN? But u want BRAZILIAN HAIR!”

Kartel calls Black Christian women who lighten their hair and rock extensions “hypocrites” for not wearing their natural hair with the color and texture God gave them.

“If God made you with your hair, why do you change it to look like someone else’s hair? God made a mistake???? Smh.”

The “Fever” artist ended by telling the masses to stop judging his choice to lighten his skin while also participating in similar beauty regimens, saying, “BLACK PEOPLE CHECK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU CHECK SOMEONE ELSE.”
