Talk show host Wendy Williams has Graves’ disease, she revealed Wednesday.

The Wendy Williams Show host announced that she will be going on a three-week hiatus to get her health back on track.

Williams, who had to cancel a few shows last week, had initially attributed her recent health issues to age, her work schedule and raising her son.

“My doctor has prescribed … are you ready? As of today, three weeks of vacation,” she told her audience, who responded with shock and applause. “I was pissed. I’m not an heiress; who’s going to pay my bills?”

Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disorder that overstimulates the thyroid gland, according to endocrineweb.com.  Williams said she has not experienced anxiousness and weight loss, which are side effects of the disease.
