In honor of Women’s History Month, Author, Ruth Parrish Watson, has released an inspiring new children’s book that seeks to convey the message that girls can be anything they want–even president of the United States.

Parrish Watson’s book, Who Said A Girl Can’t Be President, is meant to give girls (especially girls of color) hope “to dream beyond their current circumstance,” according to press release sent to EBONY.

Parrish Watson believes that she will in fact one day live to see a woman president and is not ruling out that the female commander in chief will be a woman of color.

Parrish Watson is a graduate of Lincoln University and obtained a Master’s in Science Administration from Central Michigan University.
