Last year, Apple was praised for commissioning not one, but two women to address attendees at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference.

In keeping up with the trend, the corporation selected Apple Music’s Head of Global Consumer Marketing to speak at the conference. And boy did Bozoma Saint John impress.

According to NY Mag, the marketing veteran spoke to the crowd of developers about Apple’s latest music achievements. And judging from Twitter, she must have done an amazing job.

Let’s get one thing straight. Bozoma Saint John was a bawse even leading up to her Apple appointment. Previously, the Ghanian maven got her feet wet at Pepsi and Spike Lee’s advertising agency, Spike DDB. The reason why folks are talking about Saint John isn’t just because she did such an amazing job at this year’s conference. She represents a need for diversity, strong female talent and fresh ideas in not just the tech industry but the world. And she’s exactly where she needs to be.
