From a $500 rainy day stash to a multi-million dollar empire, Ming Lee’s story is what rap classics are made of. Lee’s beauty brand, Snob Life, has made the Detroit native a household name as she keeps your favorite celeb’s favorite celeb slaying in the hottest bundles all year long. But there’s more to the Atlanta based beauty than hair. Lee is a jetsetter living #travelgoals on the regular, and if you follow her on Instagram, you already know that her getaways are jealousy inducing. Life is clearly no longer a dream, and to quote the #1 ‘Snob’ boss, “There is levels to this, welcome to the top floor.”
EBONY: Without a doubt you’re definitely a fashionista. How would you describe your travel style?
Ming Lee: I’d say tomboy chic, but still loves pink.
EBONY: Accessories can make or break a travel outfit. What’s your favorite bag to travel with?
ML: My Chanel fanny pack! It’s so retro, but so nice and convenient.
EBONY: If we took a peek, what travel must-haves would we find in your bag?
ML: I’m not a big makeup person on vacation, but I need my lippies and lashes from Snoblife. A fly swimsuit for my bomb vacation tanning sessions and an EAP Heat flat iron of course!
EBONY: Great photos for the ‘Gram are necessary when you’re living the Snob Life. What are your favorite photo apps?
ML: InstaSize is my favorite.
EBONY: Everyone knows “Snobs” have perfect hair. What products do you take to make sure your hair stays flawless while on vacation?
ML: My EAP heat flat iron and heat protectant spray and Got2be Glued products to secure my wigs, lol
EBONY: Your swimsuit curves are enviable. What swimwear designer do you keep on deck?
ML: I really like the B Fyne swimwear line!
EBONY: You and your bestie Karen Civil take the most amazing vacations. What’s your most memorable girlfriend getaway destination? Why?
ML: I can’t decide if our best vacation was Mexico or Belize! Both spots had amazing weather for tanning, plus we stayed at all you can eat resorts so I pretty much planned my day around food. Mexico has bomb activities and Belize had one of the 7 wonders of the world.
EBONY: How do you balance being a boss with having fun on vacation?
ML: I love my what I do so it’s never work to me. I work anywhere I have wi-fi.
EBONY: If you could take the ultimate vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
ML: South Africa or Australia for sure.
EBONY: What adventurous activity is on your bucket list?
ML: I want to tour Europe with no real schedule. Like just wake up and pick a different country to go and explore.
EBONY: If there was one song to describe your travel life, what would it be?
ML: YFN Lucci “Everyday We Lit.”
