Michelle Obama will arguably go down in history as one of the most powerful and influential Black —no scratch that—WOMEN in history.

Her legacy as the nation’s first African-American First Lady solidifies her place in history, but honestly, her continuous work in the community speaks for itself.

So what she says has merit.

As we anticipate Obama’s forthcoming memoir, we can only hope that the former First Lady sheds more light on how the White House measures up to Buckingham Palace.

According to PEOPLE, Obama said that when the First Family spent the night with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip a few years back, she remembered the White House having better food.

In fact, while the Buckingham Palace certainly has a bit more history under its belt, the place cannot hold a candle to how the U.S. gets down in the kitchen.

“I don’t want to insult anybody, but American food is just better,” Obama said at Klick Health’s Muse event in New York City on Tuesday. What she did say was that Queen Elizabeth has better china.
