Just a month following his released from federal prison, O.J. Simpson has been banned from The Cosmopolitan hotel-casino in Las Vegas.

Malcolm LaVergne, who is legally representing Simpson, said his client received a trespass notice from the hotel on Wednesday, but denied that Simpson was belligerent or under the influence of alcohol while on the property.

Simpson was not giving a reason for the ban. LaVergne said. Simpson reportedly contacted his parole officer Thursday and underwent drug and alcohol testing, which returned negative results.

The hotel did not comment on the incident saying it does not comment on its guests.

Simpson was paroled from a prison in the state after serving nine years in prison for armed robbery and assault with a weapon.

He currently resides in a gated community in Las Vegas.
