We love our rum cocktails, folks. And summertime is the perfect time to marry the sweet spirit with juice, ice and an place in the shade. Check out these great libations made with Brugal Extra Dry Rum, a smooth white rum straight from the Dominican Republic with a more dry, less sweet profile than most due to a special triple distillation process. Brugal Extra Dry Daiquiri
Thursday July 18th is National Daquiri Day and if you're down to mix up the super simple, super refreshing drink at home, we have the perfect recipe to help you celebrate.
- 2 oz. Brugal Extra Dry Rum
- ½ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- ½ teaspoon superfine sugar
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
Brugal Extra Dry Mojito
Your guests will be so impressed when you bring out this classic Cuban cocktail that they won't believe how easy it is to make! If you don't have a mortal and pestal, you can muddle the mint leaves with a spoon.
- 1 ½ oz Brugal Extra Dry Rum
- 12 fresh mint leaves
- ½ lime, quartered
- Club soda
- 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
Crush/muddle mint leaves, lime quarters and sugar in a tall glass. Add Brugal rum and fill glass with ice. Top with club soda, and stir well. Garnish with a lime wedge and fresh mint sprig.
Brugal Extra Dry Dehumidifier
For the rum lover in your life who wants something a bit less sweet.
- 2 oz. Brugal Extra Dry
- ½ oz. fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 5 mint leaves
- Club soda
Combine all ingredients, except bitters and shake with ice. Pour into a Collins glass, top with Club Soda and float 3 dashes of bitters. Garnish with a mint sprig.
