Serena Williams may be everyone’s favorite tennis star on the court, but some recent remarks has a few folks looking at the pro athlete with the side eye.
During an interview with Stellar Magazine, Williams, who is due to give birth some time in the fall, shared her thoughts on becoming a mother for the first time.
“I have so much respect for so many women [for giving birth],” Williams told the mag. “I am about to be a real woman now, you know? It’s going to be something incredibly impressive to go through.”
Say what?!
It didn’t take long for #BlackTwitter to catch wind of Serena’s remarks and react online.
