SXSW is officially underway, and we were hand to get the party started right. On Friday, March 7th, Black tech influencers and notables gathered at Austin’s George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center for MVMT 50’s Welcome Reception, co-hosted by EBONY.com and EA Sports. Attendees sipped cocktails (including the locally-made Deep Eddy Vodka), grooved to the soulful sounds of Thee Phantom and the Ill Harmonic Orchestra, Jackie Venson and DJ Phife and celebrated 2013’s “Top Ten Innovators” in the Black digital space.
