Aries (March 21st to April 19th)
Don’t waste this week’s powerful Moon and Mercury energy on petty distractions and power plays.
This may be one of those weeks when it’ll be good that you’re too distracted by all your Mercury Retrograde recovery efforts to lock horns in power plays over truly inconsequential stuff. However, you are likely to be tempted, if you’re not successfully distracted enough. That 2 hour flame war on Facebook about that celebrity that you barely heard of? It will all be for naught, and you’ll come off looking like a bully though we all will know you’re right. And that goes to show you that being right is only one small part of the equation, especially for this week. Let your energy truly go into something that’s going to set something aright for you …or leave it alone. All of this lunar energy now is waxing for you to fulfill unrealized goals for your home life and rebuild frayed emotional connections. Don’t spend it creating isolation.

Taurus (April 20th to May 21st)
Any breakdowns and showdowns can tick upward for the best if you stay open and take direct action now.
Although Mercury stops mooning all the other planets on Tuesday and we have the young fresh energy of a new moon with us, there might still be some breakdowns with devices and showdowns with people. No one wants these kinds of things, but you’ve probably lived through a few downturns to know that they don’t all turn out bad. In fact, you’re more likely to get rid of dead weight than end up feeling a lot of remorse for any losses. Again, if you’ve already upped the ante with your communication devices, it might be other devices, like your trusty blender, that you’ll have to change. For any possible showdowns with folks, however, you don’t have to persuade anyone to see things your way now. Just be emphatically open when it’s clear that they are not seeing things your way. Then decide what avenues you’ll need to pursue next.

Gemini  (May 21st to June 20th)
You’re stronger than you realize, so dig in and stand up for what you need.
Nietzsche’s famous adage, “That which does not kill you makes you stronger” definitely was a great way to start the movie “Conan the Barbarian,” but it’s not the most soothing of phrases when your back is against the wall during hard times. It’s as if a part of the adage has been left off: “…makes you stronger, more pissed off and likely to bite all your fingernails down to nubs.” However, debating whether all of this has made you stronger or strung out doesn’t matter now. You have to bust a move and be willing to stand up for yourself against the pushback you could receive for doing so. Although you can generally handle controversy well, you aren’t a big fan of personal conflict, especially when it comes to your needs. Well, you have indeed been made stronger by recent travails. Honor your strength and dig in your heels to weather any blowback.

Cancer  (June 21st to July 21st)
This 4th of July keep the fireworks in the sky, not in your life.
It’s a nice thought to embrace obstacles as opportunities, but it’s also hard work. The face-off on the 4th of July between the self-projecting Sun in your sign and Pluto in Capricorn, the sign of other people and circumstances, indicates you have obstacles to face this week, perhaps even from those closest to you. Most likely you’re going to want to leave the fireworks in the sky, so here’s a quick crash course on how to convert obstacles into opportunities. First, entertain another way to look at what’s going rather than fixate on one. For instance, a co-worker could be all in your face because she’s afraid you’ll strike first, not because she wants to fight. You permit yourself to lose your temper; no one makes you do it. Next, stay focused on what you can control. Don’t worry about what you can’t. Last, follow a procedure or process that keeps everything open and clear.

Leo  (July 22nd to August 21st)
Some of the mysteries surrounding recently emerged relationships and connections will begin to unravel.
You’ve probably done as letting go as you can do for now.  This week starts off with the moon in your sign and as it moves on, you’ll also feel as if you’re gearing up to move on too. With Mercury coming out of retrograde on Tuesday, this gives you even more clues on how to solve some of the mysteries you’ve had with recently emerged relationships and connections from your past. You may be tempted to confront one or more of these connections about what’s not been clear or not quite adding up for you, but don’t work too hard.  In fact, if you look close enough at what’s been happening, you’re more than likely to see the holes in it easily, as if you almost have x-ray vision. Now if only you had that power to see what was under scratch-off lottery tickets before you bought them. Ah, well.

Virgo (August 22nd to September 21st)
Stay on task with what needs to get done rather than fighting over what others aren’t doing.
You’re likely to be extra happy that Mercury will stop his apparent backward motion in the sky on Tuesday and all his attempts to derail your plans and communication on and off the job.  However, don’t be too quick to celebrate clear sailing just yet. Toward the middle of the week, you may come across a situation where others may have left you with the bag or the burden of managing something. Don’t get in a tug of war about it, or make it into a bootleg teachable moment when no one’s appointed to be anybody’s teacher. Instead attend to what’s most necessary to get done without making a big fuss. This isn’t an invite to make you the sucker, however. Just the opposite. Your job is to stay on task until you can take yourself off of it. Getting into a fight now will make individual egos bigger than any real service to a greater whole.

Libra (September 22nd to October 21st)
If you’re bringing new things into the mix at work with joy, depth and breadth, then expect push back this week.
Resistance from others in your workplace could let you know that you’re on the right track, because people often resist change. However, other times we can let our egos get the best of us and we “stand our ground” on sand. I’m more inclined to think that you’re facing resistance because you’re stirring new things into the mix. Nonetheless, there’s always a chance that you’re being ornery at the wrong time or about the wrong thing. Here’s how to tell the difference. If you’re genuinely bringing something that comes from deep within you, gives you joy, and expands possibilities for more people, then expect the resistance and weather it. If you’re sloshing it out with folks because you’re just right (dammit!) and it’s making you tenser with each bout, then you’re probably sand surfing. Then it’s time to change your approach and lighten up.

Scorpio (October 22nd to November 21st)
Appreciate the true wisdom behind the saying, “Man plans, God laughs.”
The adage, “Man plans, God laughs,” might be simultaneously cruel and true. It’s cruel, because your sign usually loves to plan since you frequently have a desire that you want fulfilled. If God is putatively CTFU about your plans, then this week you might ask why even have them? You make plans to fulfill your desires because there’s a reason why you have desires in the first place. However, don’t confuse that reason with how they are fulfilled. That’s why you should appreciate God’s laughter, because it means that there’s space for the Cosmos to be creative with “desire fulfillment” rather than to do exactly what you want. Don’t fall victim to the micromanagement trap. Hold on to those desires, but don’t get pissed off when the plans have to change this week. You’ll have a better time laughing along with God.

Sagittarius (November 22nd to December 21st)
You don’t like feeling indebted to anyone, but the best way forward is to acknowledge a debt owed and set in motion a plan to get rid of it.
Feeling chained to the past is one way to experience a loss of one’s freedom, but another comes through debt. Of course, debt and the past are often related, except modern life has created a way to make the future a liability with the idea of compounded interest. Nonetheless, you don’t like feeling indebted to anything or anyone. You may, in fact, have a series of encounters this week that raise your hackles about this very thing and, understandably, it could make you very uncomfortable. There’s perhaps a wrong and right way to handle this. The wrong way is to have a bratty moment of feeling like you don’t owe anybody jack and you either wail or bail on whoever holds a debt over your head. The better way is to make a plan or a budget to manage your debt without fighting about it.

Capricorn (December 22nd to January 20th)
Honor how a potential showdown exposes a vulnerability and focus on remedying that, not get in a contest of wills.
A face-off between Pluto in your sign and the Sun in Cancer, your relationship and one-on-one sign, is what colors most of the week. This might appear as a showdown between you and someone else, like an authority figure or an important influential person in your life. However, the true fight is between you and your own resistance to experiencing a certain vulnerability that this person exposes. If you think about it this way, you might have a better idea on how to slow down any showdown that you might have. If you can admit your vulnerability without insisting on exposing theirs, then there’s space for something transformative to happen. Otherwise, you’re mainly building toward a fight bolstered more about egos and delusions about who has more at stake than the other. You don’t want that. You have much more important work to which to attend.

Aquarius (January 21st to February 18th)
Make the changes necessary that help you thrive, not only survive.
This week you’ll do better to focus on how you thrive more than what helps you only to survive. This doesn’t mean that you can be as self-indulgent or budget-free as you’d like—just the opposite. It means that you’re willing to make the deep structural changes necessary to be more productive and enjoy your work more, such as purchasing more RAM for your computer so you don’t have to twiddle your thumbs just to open another program. It’s not the time to dig in your heels to resist change, even if someone else is pushing for you to do it. You don’t like to be manipulated into anything you don’t want to do, and a sensible person will respect that. However, are you resisting change out of principle or out of spite? If the latter, you’re blocking your own capacity to thrive.

Pisces (February 19th to March 20th)
If folks are badgering you and you feel drained, there may be an important message you’re not getting.
Honestly, some people may not know when they’ve crossed the line from encouraging to badgering, and you may have to draw a sharp line for them this week. Ultimately, you’re likely experiencing a cosmic check-in on whether you’re staying on task with developing a talent, pleasure or hobby that you’ve neglected too long. Of course, you totally have the right to press the “snooze” button on some folks who may not have realized that you’ve heard all the alarms and you’re handling your business fine. Nonetheless, heed the signs. Are you honoring the most divine aspect of yourself, the creative spark within? Your ability to experience the pleasure of life rather than thinking it’s all about getting somewhere else, to take care of something or someone else? If you’re feeling drained, especially toward the end of the week, then there’s a good chance folks are badgering you because you’re not honoring the luscious and creative nature of your own spirit.
