ZODIAC LOUNGE: SCORPIO THIS WEEK 4/23- 4/29

October 22 - November 21

Scorpio (October 22nd to November 21st)

#MeTime: One of my favorite episodes of Star Trek (the original series) is “Mirror, Mirror.” That episode makes me think of you now. With the Sun is Taurus, you’re in your polarity time, where your opposite sign dominates and you get to hold up a mirror to yourself to reveal what you may not see or want to see about yourself.  It’s time to check in on your sensual side and contemplate how the real origin of your desires is not about what seems to be outside of you, but within you.  This is to get you think more about what you have and can enjoy rather than what you lack or need to possess.

#Heartstrings: You may feel a stronger desire to attach yourself to significant people in your life than normal. Last week was a better time to work on releasing people or letting people go, but this week is to give a lot more sweetness and personal treasure to the people you want to stay around.  Metaphysical poet John Donne gets deep about this when he writes, “No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main…” As a child of Mars, Scorpio, you might often like to picture yourself as not needing anyone yet free to want whoever you want.  However, every now and again, Mars needs Venus’s sweetness to give and receive.

#MoneyMoves: Although journal writing and blogging have become pathways of intellectual exhibitionism for many, the roots of the practice could be very revealing for you right now if you change your motivations. Keeping a journal of your thoughts and especially your practices can illuminate the invisible beads of thought we color and string together as a necklace of consciousness worn daily. We often fail to recognize the patterns of habit or breakthroughs we have without documentation.  Years ago, while keeping a journal regularly, I became more convinced of the power of astrology because I could observe that I would write about similar things around the same time each year.  So think about implementing a practice that allows you to view your thoughts over time, without too much thought about output or how things look.
