ZODIAC LOUNGE: VIRGO THIS WEEK 2/20- 2/26

August 22 - September 21

Virgo [Aug 22nd to Sep 21st]

#MeTime:  Your sign is known for looking at the discrete parts of things and now you’re pressed to pay more attention to the whole of something.  It’s like going from being just a writer for a mag to an editor, from paying attention to the details of constructing one sentence at a time to looking at how every other story is made.  That’s enough to make you tired. In fact, don’t be surprised if you’re sleeping more after the new moon because it may have a blow out effect for a lil bit. Nothing to stress out about.  In fact, around the full moon, about two weeks from now, you’ll be going more toward the uptick.

#Heartstrings: I think of a line from Peter Gabriel’s  song, “Secret World,” when I think of you this week: “Seeing things that were not there/on a wing on a prayer/in this state of disrepair.” You become keenly aware of the places where love is hiding in your relationships. That sounds poetic, even lovely, but in real life it looks like you having no tolerance for “shell games,” even though you can’t quite spell out or know for sure how things are in a state of disrepair.  You may just pull away rather than deal with the pressure of having to figure it all out.  Chill on that.  You can be clear that you feel parts are missing in your dynamic with certain people without dipping out.  Be patient that you’ll uncover the mystery.

#MoneyMoves:  In these uncertain times for you, Virgo, it’s only natural to seek firmer ground.  It could be as simple as opening another savings account with a slightly higher interest rate (although all of them seem to give you about a penny on the dollar for the year these days.)  But I think this search for higher, firmer ground isn’t only about where you keep your stash. It’s how you think about making it.  Obsolescence is a big word for simple concept: yesterday’s news.  You’re about keeping relevant and having skills and obsolescence can hit anybody’s career. Now is the time to think about how to keep your edge and take steps toward that.  It ain’t gotta be big, but make sure it’s something you can say you’ve done rather than something you gotta/gonna do.
