Gemini Season (May 21.-June 21) is upon us and if someone born under this sign has caught your attention, be prepared for the switch up! Everyone has another side to their personality, but those born under this sign are particularly dualistic in nature.

With that being said, every interaction with your Gemini crush should be treated on an individual basis. While they are consistent in action and are creatures of habit, their moods are not. No, they’re not bipolar like folks think, but understand that you must immerse yourself in recognizing which “twin” is present. To find out how to snag one, peep the five tips below. Trust me, he or she will be yours in no time, but you’ve gotta make sure that you’re ready for the action.

1) Listen a little, talk a little more.

Ruled by the planet Mercury, Geminis are the communicators—and gossipers—of the zodiac. If it happened, they know about it, or will in the next half hour or so. If you wish to date a more introverted sign, date a Capricorn or Pisces. While they may have their quiet moments, the Gemini man or woman feels closest to someone who they can share invigorating conversation with. They’re naturally social beings, and even the most introverted Gemini will make a social butterfly seem shy. If you’re crushing on this sign, be prepared to talk enough to engage and respond to them in conversation, but do listen because their keen observation will note the difference. In other words, you better find something in the world to be interested in, because nothing turns a Gemini on more than someone who is well read and intelligent.

2) Spoil them with affection, but give them space.

Geminis are very sensual and affectionate beings. They enjoy quality time with their significant other, and friendship and familial ties are very important to them. But they’re also moody. Unlike the Cancer, you will not get a head’s up of what mood your Gemini bae is in. You just have to stay armed and ready to adjust. With this air sign, there is a such a thing as too much action. Grant them just enough space to miss you and tend to their own thing and you’ll stay out of the danger zone.

3) Allow them to support you.

One of the things that I love about Geminis—unless they’re insecure, jealous-hearted narcissists—is their willingness to serve and support their mates. There will be no power struggles in this relationship as those born under this sign are usually secure enough in themselves and what they bring to the table to the point where they can exist in any role, regardless of gender. Love and support them, but do not thrust them into the spotlight. Their egos don’t need that kind of stroking and you will annoy them by being too pushy. Trust me, the Geminis who want the shine have no problem commanding attention.

4) Details details details!

While the Gemini man or woman may not be as intense as the Virgo or Scorpio, they still operate on details. When attempting to lock down your twin bae, allow clarity to be your friend! Those born under this sign are a different type of risk taker. They’re most comfortable when they have someone who is committed to great communication. While you shouldn’t ruin the surprise of getting to know you, finding the balance of being mysterious, yet truthful and upfront will serve you well.

5) Let them LIVE! (BOTH sides of them).

Geminis live in their heads. Their minds are constantly at work either processing information, dissecting a previous relationship or analyzing some conversation they had three months ago with someone once, but fifty times in their heads. While they could benefit from chilling out, allow them to process things their own way. In other words, let them live. They will (not may) take a longer time to come to a conclusion about something that you might decide on within minutes. Let them. They might ask a million questions for clarification and irk your soul, but allow them to. If they do not wish to be bothered, give them space and time. They will come around and tell you what’s wrong eventually. Why? Because their emotions won’t allow them to be passive aggressive for long periods of time.

Geminis are not for everyone. Their bluntness can be off-putting and their dual moods can sometimes make you feel like you’re alone in a relationship. But their love is truly one-of-a-kind, and their willingness to support and serve their partner makes their moodiness worth it.
