Not everyone intends to spoil their significant other on Valentines Day. According to a new survey, 46 percent of respondents have no plans of purchasing a gift in honor of the Hallmark occasion.

However, the majority of Americans (54 percent) do plan to purchase a gift for their lover, while 49 percent that their partner will gift them the best out of anyone.

Those who plan to buy a gift also disclosed that they planned to spend no more than $25 on a VDay gift this year (44 percent).

Below is a breakdown of what gifts folks intend on purchasing for their mates this year, per a press release sent to EBONY.

  •  28 percent of respondents simply want a good meal
  • 34 percent would prefer a night out with their partner
  • 32 percent want chocolates this VDay
  • 23 percent would like a gift card

The survey, conducted by Propeller Insights for Ebates, took place last month and consisted of 1,008 adults in the U.S. It also revealed that 64 percent of Americans plan to celebrate Valentines Days this year.
