This week’s events in photos were a sign that Spring is around the corner, although it might not necessarily feel like it.

Starting last weekend, the increasingly popular South By Southwest Conference brought tech and culture together in Austin, Tex., but of course the music is a big part of it. Stars including Erykah Badu, Jidenna and Young M.A. were among the hundreds featured during the conference.

The kaleidoscope of events at SXSW came just before the opening of the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, known more popularly as March Madness. People across the nation filled out brackets, swore they could guess the upsets, and goofed off at work while watching the First Round of the games.

Also, if you live in the U.S. Northeast, you may still be digging out of several inches of snow that was dropped on the region, shutting down businesses and schools early in the week. Anyone looking for spring will find it next week, at least technically. More cold temperatures and modest snowfall is forecast for the weekend.
