their voices to assure the nation knew that policies that guarantee diversity were still needed. As the 2012 Presidential season kicks into high gear, there is no doubt that affirmative action will be bandied about as taboo (we have a Colored president right now, who needs it?), but we must remember its significance and be willing to fight for its maintenance just as vigorously as the enemy fights for its death.
