On Monday, the Rev. Al Sharpton, a longtime civil rights activist and advocate for social justice reform, visited rapper Meek Mill at a Pennsylvania jail.

According to a press release, Sharpton was accompanied by attorney Joe Tacopina for his visit.

The two visited the “All Eyes on You” rapper at Chester State Correctional Institution in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Sharpton is the president of the National Action Network, a leading civil rights organization in the United States.

Founded in 1991, the NAN “works within the spirit and tradition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to promote a modern civil rights agenda that includes the fight for one standard of justice, decency and equal opportunities for all people regardless of race, religion, nationality or gender.”
