Bands a make her dance, bands a make her dance
All these chicks popping p*ssies, I'm just popping bands
Bands a make her dance, bands a make her dance
These chicks clapping, and they ain't using hands

…as its hook, Juicy J's hit single "Bandz A Make Her Dance" (a track featuring Lil Wayne and 2 Chains), is a perfect example of "strip rap" — an increasingly popular sub-genre of "trap rap" where, instead of maybe name-dropping a strip club or featuring a stripper in a video, tracks are specifically made for strippers and strip clubs. What used to be a regional trend popular in the Deep South and Midwest has now become ubiquitous, as strip rap songs have begun to dominate the urban airwaves. And, in "Bandz…" the stripper and strip club-infused lyrics are so over the top that it borders on parody. Seriously, Lil Wayne's verses — where he actually says the words "I don't tip I pay bills, b*tches call me buffalo" — feels like a deleted skit from "The Chappelle Show."

So, with this in mind, I have to call foul on Wallace Aristide, the principal of Miami's Northwestern High School. Apparently, members of the Northwestern High School band ("The Marching Bulls") were featured in the video for "Bandz..", but Aristide and other school administrators are upset because the video also featured porn stars and strippers.

“It’s just outrageous to think you have an individual take advantage of a school and students for a video,” Aristide told a local newspaper. “They’re playing their instruments and thinking it’s something innocent, wearing our uniforms, only later to find out they edited the video with racy content."

While this seems like a noble attempt by an educator to protect his students, it seems like Aristide didn't do the required homework, agreed to allow his students in an inappropriate place, and is now feeling some heat and attempting to cover his tracks. I mean, you don't need a PhD in education to know that the video for a song about sex, porn stars, and strippers would actually feature…sex, porn stars, and strippers. And, even if he wasn't familiar with the song, a quick google of the lyrics — a task that took.0000001 seconds to perform, btw — before signing off on this would have adverted this crisis.

Ironically, it took a song by men obsessed with women taking their clothes off for Aristide to show his own ass.
