Barack Obama isn’t done with politics. At least that’s what many got from former Attorney General Eric Holder’s remarks while speaking to a group of reporters at a briefing last week.

“It’s coming. He’s coming,” Holder said according to Politico“And he’s ready to roll.”

Holder, who made history by becoming the nation’s first Black attorney general, said he was speaking with Obama about how to advance the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC). The organization advocates for reorganization of congressional and state legislative lines.

Holder said Obama “will be a more visible part of the effort.”

The NDRC is looking to be an intensified central force for Democrats to tackle their disadvantage in gerrymandering, the media outlet stated. The mission is to direct resources into winning targeted state elections, push ballot initiatives for nonpartisan district-drawing commissions and wage legal challenges to existing maps.

Ultimately, the goal is to fix what they see as party disadvantage, i.e. congressional districts that are overwhelmingly dominated by a single party.

The NDRC has referred to gerrymandering as “the biggest rigged system in America.”

Well we’ll just have to stay tuned to see what Mr. Obama has cookin.’
