President Donald Trump’s ridiculous attack on NFL players who chose to protest the national anthem during football games has now made its way to the congressional floor.

On Monday, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) knelt on the House floor as she condemned Trump with a special order of the Congressional Black Caucus.

The president enraged millions when he referred to Colin Kaepernick as a “son of a b***h.” Kaepernick protested police brutality and racism by kneeling before games last season.

On Friday during his speech to a crowd in Huntsville, Ala., Trump asked the crowd if they would, “love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b**ch off the field right now, he’s fired’?”

“There is no basis in the First Amendment that says you cannot kneel on the national anthem or in front of the flag,” Jackson Lee said. “That is racism. You cannot deny it, you cannot run for it.”

The congresswoman later knelt on one knee “in honor” of the NFL players who protested Trump’s remarks in a similar fashion over the weekend.

“I kneel in front of the flag and on this floor, I kneel in honor of the First Amendment, I kneel because the flag is a symbol for freedom, I kneel because I am going to stand against racism, I kneel because I will stand with those young men and I’ll stand with our soldiers and I’ll stand with America because I kneel,” Jackson Lee said.

Fellow congressman and civil rights activist John Lewis echoed Jackson Lee’s remarks, and took to Twitter to voice his support of Kaepernick and other pro athletes who have protested.
