It’s not a surprise that Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke has no love for Black Lives Matter because he’s made that clear in the past. But during a Sunday night interview with CNN’s Don Lemon, he took it up a notch and focused his anger at the anchor.

Blaming the social justice movement for the deaths of police officers in Baton Rouge on Sunday and in Dallas two weeks ago (while somehow neglecting to mention the people who died at police hands, setting off the tension in the first place), Clarke went in on Lemon saying that he predicted what is happening now and saying they are responsible for anti-police sentiments.

In May, EBONY’s news partner The Marshall Project, wrote an expose on Clarke’s right wing viewpoint. Read it here.
