NBA superstar Dwyane Wade surprised the kids at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School during their lunch period, on Wednesday.

A video posted on Twitter shows Wade walking through the cafeteria as excited students can be heard screaming.

“I just want to come here today and, hopefully, for a moment bring a little excitement, bring a little joy,” he said. “I just wanted to come and say that I’m inspired by all of you.”

Last month, 17 people were killed by a gunman at the Parkland, Fla. high school. Students have been advocating for gun control since the tragedy occurred.

The Miami Heat star posted a tribute on Instagram of the lives lost from the shooting.

He also took to Twitter to commend the survivors saying, “I’m looking forward to being more involved in the change that they will create.”
