EBONY Magazine announced today that it has lost one of its own—Terry Glover, the magazine’s Managing Editor. Ms. Glover passed away December 24, 2012.

A valued friend and a key member of the Johnson Publishing family, Ms. Glover joined the company in 2006. She was appointed Managing Editor of EBONY in 2009 and was a senior editor for the website for three years prior.

Amy DuBois Barnett: “Terry was the heart and soul of the EBONY team. She was one of the best editors I've ever worked with, and had a lovely kind demeanor and a fabulous sense of humor. The EBONY team will feel her absence every single day.”

Linda Johnson Rice: “Terry touched many with her warm spirit and glowing smile during her six years with Johnson Publishing. Her contributions to EBONY were innumerable and her passion shone through in everything she did. Terry will be greatly missed.”

A graduate of Northwestern, with a B.A. in radio, TV and film, Ms. Glover was an expert content producer. She’d served in staff and freelance roles for the likes of Playboy, Savoy and Uptown magazines, as well as the Chicago Tribune. She also served on local boards including Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art, and The Awassa Children’s Project.

The entire Johnson Publishing family extends its heartfelt condolences to Ms. Glover’s friends and family for their loss.
