It appears the one news outlet President Donald Trump holds so near, dear and believes is so far away from the toxic bubble that is “fake news,” actually fooled him into believing Black folks get down with him like that.

Fact check: we don’t.

During a Tuesday segment of Fox and Friends, one of the show’s co-anchors Brian Kilmeade falsely reported Trump’s approval rating has doubled among Black people.

“Believe it or not, through all this negative coverage, they did a survey of 600,000 people about how black America views this president,” Kilmeade said just days after the president referred to Haiti, El Salvador and African nations as “s**thole countries.”

“His numbers have actually doubled,” he brazenly continued.

The faux report quickly made its way to the president. Trump took to Twitter to not only refer to himself in the third-person, but to spread the misinformation.

The New York Times reports the survey Kilmeade was most likely referring to was a poll by SurveyMonkey. If the online survey was actually what Kilmeade had been referencing, the only component of it he accurately reported on was that approximately 600,000 people were surveyed.

The poll shows Trump is not only faring poorly among Black voters — there was a decline in approval among Black voters, not a doubling — but that the president is falling out of favor with the wypipo that once supported him.

So how did the president fall prey to the phenomenon he declared war on? Who cares. But for clarification purposes, Mr. President, Black America still don’t mess with you.
