Yesterday, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei offered positive praise to President Barack Obama's recent comments concerning diplomacy between the United States and Iran. "This talk is good talk," Khamenei said, "and shows an exit from illusion."

Some have interpreted Khamenei's uncharacteristic statements as indicating that the he might be growing nervous over the possibility of an attack. President Obama has attempted to offer a contrast to rhetoric surrounding Iran, noting that "this is not a game" and that "some of these folks who have a lot of bluster and a lot of big talk" have been making the issue "more about politics than actually trying to solve a difficult problem."

Will Iran's positive reaction to President Obama open the lines of communication? Can there be peace between Israel, Palestine, and Iran through this simple gesture?
