Meghan Markle will “hit the ground running” on women’s rights once she marries Prince Harry in May, according to PEOPLE.

On Monday, Markle attended an event with Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton on the Royal Foundation where she spoke about the #MeToo movement and the Time’s Up campaign.

“I hear a lot of people speaking about girls’ empowerment and women’s empowerment—you will hear people saying they are helping women find their voices,” the former Suits actress said at the event. “I fundamentally disagree with that because women don’t need to find their voices, they need to be empowered to use it and people need to be urged to listen.”

The future royal continued that people need to support women in these campaigns.

“Right now, with so many campaigns like Me Too and Time’s Up, there’s no better time to continue to shine a light on women feeling empowered and people supporting them.”
