With anticipation on a high tilt for the "rematch" between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, the latter has decided to cancel his post-debate appearance on ABC's "The View." At the top of the talk show on Monday morning, Barbara Walters announced that the GOP presidential candidate canceled his appearance for an interview on Thursday. Early this September, Romney said that going on "The View" was "high-risk" because "of the five women on it, only one is conservative, and four are sharp-tongued and not conservative."

Whoopi Goldberg instantly took to Twitter to vent her frustrations about the comment. She blasted the former Massachusetts governor with such shots as, "Well, Mr. Romney, the man I was talking about turned into a man who flushed his ideals down the drain." Instead, Barbara Walters broke the news to the audience saying, "We were looking forward to having Gov. Romney on with us this Thursday with Ann Romney. Over the weekend, his people said that he had scheduling problems and would not be coming on with us."
