Mitt Romney introduced Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate at a campaign event Saturday morning. The GOP presidential hopeful praised Ryan's "strength of character" and said "his integrity is unquestioned," while unveiling his choice two weeks before the Republican convention and three months before the election. Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman, is known for his extreme opposition to the budget proposals of Obama and the Democrats, and expressed to hundreds of happy Republicans his total commitment to the Romney campaign.

"Mitt Romney is a leader with the skills, the background and the character that our country needs at a crucial time in its history," Ryan said.

We'll see about that.
