A 16-year-old Michigan girl was found dead just a few months after reporting her alleged rapist.

In November, Mujey Dumbuya told local police that Kentwood Public School District employee Quinn Anthony James raped her several times. She was set to testify against him in April. The 42-year-old, who is a three-time criminal offender, is now being considered a person of interest in her death.

Last Sunday, the body of the Grand Rapids teen was found in a wooded area in Kalamazoo, MI, just three days after her family reported her missing. Police claim the family reported the young girl as a runaway but loved ones deny such claims.

James, whose criminal history dates back to 1991, was arrested by police on Feb. 1 for his involvement in a separate 2014 rape case. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.

GoFundMe page has been created for the late teen.
