There appears to be new intel behind the firing of former White House communications director Omarosa Manigault Newman.

A Politico report into White House chief of staff John Kelly and former staffer Rob Porter who’s resigned amid allegations of domestic abuse also detailed the circumstances which led to Newman’s departure.

Apparently, home-girl got too comfy using the White House car service referred to as CARPET. Kelly reportedly fired Newman for using CARPET as an “office pick-up and drop-off service, something strictly forbidden by the federal government.”

Raw Story notes the White House transportation agency is responsible for “driving in presidential motorcades, providing support services for Air Force One flights and assisting in other travel-related activities in the United States and overseas.”

In other words, nobody had time to be chauffeuring Ms. Newman around campus.

With this report and Newman’s incessant yet calculated tea spilling about her time in the White House on Celebrity Big Brother, there’s now further reason to not buy her rumored memoir.
