A national summit that is geared towards African-American women has launched in Atlanta with a series of celebrities slated to make appearances.

NBC reports that elected officials and influencers are also expected to attend.

The four-day event, which is reportedly sold out, will run until the 25th, organizers said.

It is expected to draw at least 1,000 attendees from across the country and beyond.

“Black women own more than 1.5 million businesses. We are the largest users of social media and we know that we are cultural influencers,” said co-convener the Rev. Leah Daughtry. “The summit will bring together black women from across the country and all different walks of life. It will focus on our political prowess, our economic power and our cultural influence.”

The event’s goal is to assist Black women in leveraging their political, economic and social power in order to achieve upward mobility in a way that move themselves, their communities and ultimately the country forward.
