Philadelphia teen Sabriya McLean turned 15 years old this October. Just two months later, she was brutally killed by a man she met online.

Police found the Delaware girl’s body under a pile of leaves in a West Philadelphia alleyway on Tuesday morning. An hour after meeting with 23-year-old Cole Swaringer-Herring, McLean was stabbed 80 times and set on fire by the man  according to local police. She met Swaringer-Herring through Facebook.

Police were notified of the crime Tuesday after the suspect told his parents, whom he lived with, about the killing. Until her body was discovered, she’d been considered a missing person.

Officials have yet to uncover why Swaringer-Herring killed the girl. He is now in police custody and his charges include murder, arson and abuse of a corpse. Due to the brutal nature of the crime, police are speculating as to whether Swaringer-Herring has been responsible for other unsolved crimes.
