If you love wine, you’re in luck.

According to a new study, a few glasses of wine a day can help clear your brain of toxins.

The claim is coming from researchers at the University of Rochester Medical Center who recently conducted an experiment to determine how ethanol affects the central nervous system, AJC reports.

For the experiment, researchers took a look at mice and exposed them to “acute and chronic alcohol,” the stud states. Initially, they gave the animals high levels of alcohol and studied their brains over time. After analyzing the results they determined the mice suffered from inflammation, namely in the cells that work with the glymphatic system. The also discovered the mice had impaired cognitive and motor abilities.

They then served the animals low levels of alcohol, the equivalent of two and a half drinks a day. They saw less inflammation and noticed the glymphatic system was more efficient this time.

The study was published in  Scientific Reports.
