Golden State Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr, isn’t mincing words on how he feels about the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida that killed 17 people.

“It doesn’t seem to matter to our government that children are being shot to death, day after day, in schools,” he said to ESPN’s Chris Haynes. “It’s not enough, apparently, to move our leadership, our government, the people who are running this country to actually do anything.”

Kerr’s comments came before the Warriors took on the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night.

Kerr is optimistic that things can change and believes that getting rid of politicians who receive support from the NRA.

“But we can do something about it,” he said. “We can vote people in who actually have the courage to protect people’s lives, not just bow down to the NRA because they’ve financed their campaign for them.”
