David Siegel, the billionaire founder and CEO of Westgate Resorts, sent out an e-mail yesterday to more than 7,000 of his employees threatening their livelihood in the form of layoffs if they vote for President Barack Obama to have a second term. The man who took credit for putting George W. Bush in office is now putting his energies towards ensuring GOP candidate Mitt Romney makes it into the White House, too. His letter begins by saying, "The economy doesn't currently pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is another four years of the same presidential administration."

Although the Westgate CEO is quick to reassure his employees that he cannot force them to vote one way or the other, he thinly veils his intentions within the body of the letter. "It's quite simple," Siegel writes. "If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, as our current President plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of the company… So, when you make your decision to vote, ask yourself, which candidate understands the economics of business ownership and who doesn't? Answer those questions and you should know who might be the one capable of protecting and saving your job."
