The man who shot and killed Trayvon Martin is reportedly suing NBC over the network’s botched editing of a 911 tape, according to the New York Post. George Zimmerman’s attorneys have prepared a complaint against NBC and its top executives, naming news president Steve Capus and veteran reporter Ron Allen. (The reporter, an African American, was on the scene for the broadcast of “Today” and “NBC Nightly News” on March 27.)

The suit argues that a misleading cut of Zimmerman’s 911 tape suggested he targeted the 17-year-old Martin because of his race. .
