Since the young age of nine, Prescod has been competing in fencing competitions, allowing her to see the world while racking up world championship medals Olympian Nzingha Prescod has worked tirelessly to achieve her success, but her most powerful drive is her passion, she says Nzingha (Right) lunges toward a fellow American fencer during the 2011 national women’s fencing final The young Olympian lunges towards her competitor, demonstrating extensive flexibility and a sturdy fighting stance In addition to strong legs and quick footwork, Nzingha credits her mother and older sister for her success: “I wouldn’t be where I am without them.” Ever the professional, Nzingha speaks with the press during a competition in 2010
