Their Story in Their Own Word...

When Dwight and I met, I worked in Institutional Advancement for Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. When he walked into the office, I could tell he was nervous but confident and wanted to make a good impression with the interviewers that day. I often tell Dwight maybe that day was God giving us a glimpse of our future. Needless to say Dwight was hired by the President’s Office and became well received all over campus. We were cordial to one another and had a surface friendship, but I always had a high regard for Dwight. We would see each other in passing and often shared anecdotes about working at Meharry. We lost touch for a while but became reacquainted when Dwight began to visit me rather frequently in my office. His visits were well received and would always put a smile on my face.
